Hay

Well today, me, my sister and my mom woke up this morning, milked the goats, and then our hay guy called and said he was leaving his house and heading this way with a truck load of hay. So, the 3 of us had to unload about 60 bales of nasty molded hay in the hot sweaty weather of Oklahoma. We were sweating and all nasty by the time we were done, it only took us a little bit though. Just what I wanted to do for my B-day! HAHA!

Have a great day!

Some pictures of the sheep

We put our friends dorper ram in with our two barbados ewes and our two katahdin ewes, so that he can breed them, but I have not seen them get bred yet. Hopefully he will breed them.
Here are some pictures of our two Barbados sheep.
Sheila is on the left, and Bambi is on the right.

Here is Bambi. She is about three months old.

Here is Sheila, Bambi's mom.

Here are a few of the goats (the does) meeting our friend's Dorper ram through the fence.
They don't know what to think of him.

Before I took this picture, that baby goat in the picture was trying to hide behind her mom, because she was scared.

This is not the same baby goat in the picture above.

A few pictures of the ram.

Have a great day!

HAY IS HERE!!

We got the first batch of 2010 first cutting hay here on Sunday. . . a big, huge truckload right in the front yard! It smells great and the goats like it so much.

If anyone would like any hay or more info on it, email or call us (918-598-4007). Thanks!

My two barbados sheep!!

On Friday we traded Vibe's two kids for two barbados sheep, one younger ewe and her three month old eweling. They are both soo cute!! They are very small too. The older ewe's name is Sheila and the three month old eweling's name is Bambi, they both had those names when we got them. They are in very good condition and are very pretty. Here is a picture of them.
Bambi is on the left and Sheila is on the right.

A Few Updates

Well, it has gotten so green around here lately, and has been getting warmer every day it seems like. We have been going through very little hay since the pasture has gotten so green. Also, Butter Mint my little three month old katahdin eweling is growing so fast! She has gotten a lot bigger then when we got her.
Here are some pictures of Butter Mint.

Ewe Neek is also doing great. Both Ewe Neek and Butter Mint are hanging out with the goats, they go out to pasture with the goats and come back with the goats.
Here are some pictures of Ewe Neek (the two year old ewe).
Butter Mint is looking under Ewe Neek's belly.

And here is Vibe's doeling.
