Ranch Update!!

I am FINALLY doing a post. Sorry for not posting sooner, it has been almost a month since I posted last. We have added MANY more animals to our ranch.

~ Six new goats ~

We got six new goats from the Warren Livestock Auction in Leach, OK on July 8th, 2011. Two of them are registered as Grade A Nubians and both of them are in milk and possibly bred to a Nubian buck. There names are Target and Stormy. The other four goats are BEAUTIFUL Nubian doelings from this year, two are a beautiful moon spotted brown color and the other two are a beautiful black color with two brown stripes down there faces, a little brown on the backs of there ears, a brown stripe down there neck, and under their belly is brown.

~ One new Katahdin ewe ~


On July 22nd, 2011 we got a big Katahdin ewe from the Warren Livestock Auction. She is big and fat, but her teeth look just a little older and she looks to be pregnant. I will try to post some pictures of her when I can.

~ Two new goats ~

~ Spot lambed ~

~ Prissy kidded ~

Prissy kidded to twins on Sunday, July 30th, 2011. She had 1 buckling and 1 doeling. She gave birth to them with out to many issues. The first kid came out fine, and the second kid was just a little stuck. I will try to post pictures of them when I can.

~ New goats and sheep ~


Well, me, my dad and a few other siblings of mine went down to Windom, TX Sunday afternoon (August 1st, 2011) . We picked up 14 adult dairy does (7 in milk, 5 not in milk), 5 doelings, 7 bucklings and 10 hair sheep (3 rams and 7 ewes), from a goat dairy that was going out of business. The goats are all Alpines, Saanans, Lamanchas and 1 Nubian. And the sheep are Painted Deserts, Desert Sands and Mouflon crosses.

Happy July 4th!

Hope everyone had a happy 4th of July!! What we did for the 4th of July was go fishin', swimming and had a big party at our neighbor's house!! My sister made some red, white and blue Neapolitan cookies and some kind of candy. We took some pictures of the fire works, so I have attached some pictures. Enjoy!!

A Big Ranch Update

Sorry for not posting anything for awhile. We have been very busy up here on the ranch lately. Here is a quick update.




~ Sheep ~

We have about 60 sheep now. I can't even believe that we have that many sheep now! 

17 new sheep ~
We got 17 new sheep Wednesday (March 16th, 2011). There were 3 Texas Dall rams, 3 Painted Desert rams, 3 December born Painted Desert ram lambs, 2 December born Painted Desert ewe lambs, 1 Texas Dall ewe, 4 Painted Desert ewes and 1 Katahdin ewe. 

4 Finn lambs ~
We picked up 4 Finn bottle lambs on Friday, March 4th, 2011. There are 2 ewe lambs (Both the ewe lambs are all white) and 2 ram (one of the ram lambs is all white and the other is black and white) lambs. We plan to keep both the ewe lambs and the black and white ram lamb (we already sold the white ram lamb). They were born on Thursday, March 3rd, 2011. I will try to post pictures of them later when I can:)

Our new ram, Strains Boulder!! ~
We traded our Painted Desert ram (Little Hills Clyde) for a 4 horn Painted Desert (Desert Dragon) ramling, Strains Boulder. He is a VERY nice ram lamb with GREAT conformation. We got him on February 27th, 2011. He was born on October 10th, 2011. His sire is Strains Ringo Jester and his dam is Strains Roan Rebel. Good Goats Amarelli Chicci and her two bucklings ~

Spanish cross doe ~
We bought a REALLY nice and fat bred Spanish cross doe. She was part of a group of REALLY nice bred Spanish cross does. My brother bought her for $140 (that is a good deal for how nice she is). She kidded Wednesday (March 16th, 2011) afternoon to twins, one buckling and one doeling. They are VERY pretty kids, because they are both white with silver and brown.
